Below is a brief description of the Kentucky Horse Country tour's itinerary, including links to interactive route maps with elevation profiles. PLEASE NOTE: All of our routes can be adjusted to make them more or less challenging. With the support of our SAG vehicle, we can provide a variety of starting and finishing points on each day to provide a customized ride.

THURSDAY

For those who arrive early, enjoy an optional short ride along the Legacy Trail, a bike path that winds from Lexington to the Kentucky Horse Park. Or walk from our downtown hotel to nearby breweries and distilleries and the University of Kentucky campus. Or simply take in the art on display at our unique hotel. Enjoy a bourbon distillery tour, happy hour at a craft brewery, and dinner downtown that evening!

FRIDAY

Experience Kentucky cycling at its best as we work our way along country lanes leading from Lexington to neighboring Paris, where we'll finish the ride with lunch on their charming Main Street. Check out award-winning distilleries after the ride before feasting at the Woodford Inn in Versailles in the heart of the Kentucky horse country, our home base for the next two days.

SATURDAY

Ride straight from the Woodford Inn towards the Kentucky River, taking on a hillier landscape that showcases another side of the picturesque Kentucky landscape. Tour another distillery or possibly a horse farm that afternoon. Savor an amazing meal at what we believe to be the best restaurant in Kentucky – Heirloom in the tiny town of Midway.

SUNDAY

Join the Bluegrass Cycling Club for a very special bike ride called Savory Cycle, featuring the most picturesque roads in Kentucky with perfectly manicured lawns, matching black fences, historic stone walls, and miles of smooth, low-traffic pavement. Choose the distance that feels right to you and enjoy excellent support, a great lunch stop at the Woodford Reserve distillery, and live bluegrass music and a first-class post-ride dinner at the charming Holly Hill Inn (along with a bourbon tasting from Woodford Reserve!).

MONDAY

Enjoy one final breakfast at the 21c Museum Hotel in Lexington before heading home.
